Andrea P Beam

Dr. Andrea Beam came to Liberty University eight years ago with over 13 years of experience in the K-12 setting as a special educator and administrator. She began her career teaching Special Education at the high school level where she coached track and swimming. Dr. Beam has been an Assistant Principal at both the elementary and high school level. She finished her public school career as Assistant Principal at Frank W. Cox High School in Virginia Beach City Public Schools. Dr. Beam was an adjunct professor at The George Washington University, Averett University, Norfolk State University, and a full time Assistant Professor at Regent University before coming on board as an Assistant Professor at Liberty University.

Dr. Beam has been recognized as a finalist for Assistant Principal of the Year at the secondary level, and named in Who’s Who Among Executive and Professional Women Principals in Education, Who’s Who of Women in Education, and Who’s Who among American Professionals.

She is currently involved in various research activities, publications, and presentations. Her energy, integrity, and passion for leading tomorrow’s teachers make her an asset to Liberty University’s Educational Leadership Graduate Program.
