Cynthia M. Schmidt

Cynthia (Cindy) Schmidt serves as Head of Library Communication & Outreach at Liberty University. Cindy's areas of research interest include marketing, public relations, and communications in libraries; evidence-based practice in libraries; Pre-K through 12 and higher education; customer service; management; and professional advocacy. She has an M.S. in Education with a Library Science concentration and a B.A. in History with a minor in Anthropology. She holds a Commonwealth of Virginia postgraduate professional teaching license in secondary history and school library media, and she was a National Board Certified Teacher in Library Media. She is a Certified Associate in Project Management. Prior to coming to Liberty, Cindy served as a school librarian and an assistant professor of school librarianship. She is currently enrolled in the Ph.D. in Education-Organizational Leadership program at Liberty University.
