Frederick A. Volk

Dr. Volk joined Liberty University in 2006. He received his B.S. in Psychology from Newman University in 1991. He earned his Master's in Community/Clinical Psychology, and his Ph.D. in Human Factors Psychology from Wichita State University. Prior to joining Liberty in 2006, he was an adjunct professor in Communication Culture and Technology Master's Program at Georgetown University. Dr. Volk has conducted research and designed user interfaces in applied settings for over 15 years in professional positions in advanced technology and engineering groups at Nortel, Sprint and SAS Institute. He has authored or co-authored papers in a number of peer-reviewed publications and collaborated on presentations at numerous professional gatherings. Dr. Volk’s current research interests focus on the impact of pornography use in both religious and non-religious populations. He has a passion for making multivariate statistics and research design more accessible for students and practitioners.
