Hello, I am Dr. Jessica Henderson. I am an Assistant Professor in the Counselor Education and Families Studies Department at Liberty University where I teach in the school counseling program. Prior to Joining Liberty University in 2019, I gained teaching experience as an Assistant Professor at Northwest Nazarene University. I was also an Assistant Professor at Eastern Washington University in the 2013-2014 academic year. I hold a Ph.D. in Counselor Education and Counseling from Idaho State University, an M.A. in Counselor Education with Emphasis in School Counseling from The University of Montana, and a B.S. in Psychology from Boise State University. I have worked as both a professional school counselor as well as a mental health counselor focusing on child and adolescent populations. I hold professional memberships in the American Counseling Association, American School Counselor Association, Association for Counselor Education and Supervision, and Chi Sigma Iota. I currently serve on the Idaho Career Development Association board and I am President of the Idaho Association for Counselor Education and Supervision. I regularly attend professional conferences and have presented at the state, regional, and national levels.
