Kahlib Fischer

Dr. Kahlib Fischer is an Associate Professor of Government and LUO Chair, Helms School of Government. Dr. Fischer has a Ph.D. in Organizational Leadership with an emphasis in government, an M.A. in Public Policy, and a B.A. in Government. He has taught at both the undergraduate and graduate levels, as well as in the classroom and online settings, and is currently serving as the online Department Chair in the Helms School of Government. He has developed curriculum for and taught such courses as foreign policy, American government, leadership, business ethics, humanities, and political science, to both traditional and non-traditional students. In addition to teaching, he served as a field director for a Congressional race and has provided organizational leadership training and consulting.

His passion for teaching lies in the desire to communicate the truth of Scripture to all areas of life--an emphasis upon sound Christian worldview teaching serves students well in their ability to function as leaders in their communities, because they are then equipped with the necessary tools of discernment, truth, and compassion. More specifically, teaching and facilitation in a Christian environment works best when students can see that Jesus Christ is not just their personal Lord and Savior; He is the source of all of life’s meaning. Finally, his academic research lies in the area of articulating Biblical principles as they pertain both to government and leadership, specifically through a covenantal approach.
