Research interests
I like to study the connections between physical and mental health. My latest study published in 2026 evaluated prevalence of comorbid mental illness pre-pandemic vs pandemic era, and associations with demographic and clinical characteristics among inpatient discharges with SUD. Compared to previous findings addressing increased rates of single mental illness, the evaluation of comorbid mental illness prevalence adds a more comprehensive understanding of the population-level mental health burden and provides an insight into clinical complexity and treatment needs.
