About
Rory Patterson is the Associate Dean of Library Administration and Special Collections at Liberty University's Jerry Falwell Library, where he helps the library’s people and plans work together for University’s and library’s goals.
Previously, he was the Coordinator of Undergraduate and Online Research Assistance at JFL, where he served at the Customer Service Desk and taught a range of classes from introduction to Information Literacy, to advanced research in the senior and graduate classes of Business and Nursing. Rory also oversaw the Blackboard training modules for all of the Jerry Falwell Library's student workers.
Prior to coming to Liberty University, Rory earned a BA in History and Political Science from Cedarville University, a MA in American History from Miami University, and a MLIS from the University of Oklahoma. He has worked as a professional librarian in academic libraries, a US Department of Energy research library, and an instructor-support library in Russia.
