About

Dr. Shante' Moore-Austin believes that God has truly called her to the teaching profession. She feels that through her teaching in the classroom, she feels that she can minister to the needs of others, and be a role model to her students.
Dr. Moore-Austin received her B.A. from the University of Virginia in Charlottesville, VA, and her M. Ed. from Regent University in Virginia Beach, VA. She recently completed her dissertation on the "The Effect of Race on Retention Rates of Elementary Education Students at Liberty University" and received her Ph.D. from Capella University.
Dr. Moore-Austin loves teaching and is presently teaching undergraduate courses in the areas of differentiated teaching instruction and instructional design. Prior to teaching at Liberty University, she taught Algebra, Geometry, and Precalculus at Arcadia High School.
In regards to her research interests, she is interested in issues involved in promoting diversity in higher education and she is eager to develop a mentoring program to assist in retaining minorities in teacher education programs.
