Ambiguous loss (AL) occurs when grief lacks closure, such as in cases where a loved one is physically or emotionally absent. In this session, we’ll be discussing the impact of AL on parents of premature babies and how NICU nurses play a crucial role in recognizing grief, providing support, and using a holistic approach to promote parents’ long-term well-being
