Abstract
Presents a study on the intertextual connections between the story of Ishmael's assassination of Gedaliah and the Saul-David story in Jeremiah 40:7-41:18. Collapse of the house of David in the book of Jeremiah; Conditions in the land under Gedaliah's leadership; Several accounts in the Bible which connect the two stories.
