Abstract
The working of the puzzle of Paul and his relationship to Judaism seems a never ending task in the field of biblical studies. Across the spectrum, various Old, New, and Post-New Perspectives have been advocated. With a new contribution to the discussion, Preston Sprinkle's Paul & Judaism Revisited seeks to add some clarity to the picture by focusing specifically on the issue of divine and human agency in salvation. Sprinkle acknowledges that his contribution adds to the body of literature on the topic begun by E. P. Sanders and contributed to by scholars such as Krister Stendahl, Ernst Käsemann, James D. G. Dunn, N. T. Wright, and, more recently, Simon Gathercole, Jason Maston, and Mark Adam Elliott, among others.
