Abstract

This session will provide an overview of clinical work with children and adolescents diagnosed with Asperger's Syndrome or High Functioning Autism (AS/HFA) and how play therapy can be used effectively with this specialized population. Some of the therapeutic themes typically seen in the play of these clients will be presented. Appropriate play therapy techniques that can be used will be discussed and demonstrated. There will be time for questions from the audience.
