Abstract

Results from survey of college freshmen in a large Southern state regarding their perceptions of how much/how little help they received from their high school counselors reveals that leaders in the school counseling profession and counselor educators have a mandate for action. The researchers will use these results toȱȈhelp the leaders,ȈȱȈhelp the helpers,Ȉȱand Ȉshape the futureȈȱby making recommendations for advocacy, education and training, as well as workshops and continuing education for practicing school counselors.
