Abstract

Biotechnology - the controlled use of microbes, such as bacteria, viruses, and yeast, or specific cellular components for beneficial use - is becoming a household word. Especially following the success of Jurassic Park, a movie based on Michael Crichton's book (1990), biotechnology has a reputation as a potentially, powerful industry that can change the world around us.
